Overview:

offPIM is a Personal Information Management system designed for use as a Progressive Web App (PWA) or on desktops. It supports multiple operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. offPIM offers offline functionality, local storage in the browser, and the ability to sync with external databases supporting the CouchDB replication protocol.

• Offline Functionality: Works offline as an offline-first application.
• Local Browser Storage: No server needed, data stored locally in the browser.
• Sync Capabilities: Syncs back and forth with an external database supporting CouchDB replication.
• Dashboard: A collection of metrics from other apps.
• Task Management: Supports various methodologies like GTD and Eisenhower Matrix.
• Notes Interface: Clean and single-purpose interface for note-taking.
• Contacts, Journaling, Messaging: Different modules for managing personal information.
• Search Functionality: Easily find items within offPIM.

Installation:

To install offPIM on different platforms:

• Official Web App: Visit offpim.netlify.app.
• Desktop App (Electron):
  • Windows: Download and run offpim_desktop.exe.
  • Linux: Run the AppImage file after making it executable.
  • Mac: Currently no app available.
• Android: Download from the Google Play Store.
• Self-Hosted Static Bundle (SPA): Download, unzip, and serve on any HTTP server.
